ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Heritage Guild of Collin County has submitted a grant request, in the amount of $73,765 for costs related to improvements to buildings located at Chestnut Square.

                     Bevel House improvements include renovation of restrooms and kitchen and enhancing landscaping.

                     Chapel improvements include renovation the groom’s suite.

                     Office building improvements include replacing the deck and restoring front office space in the Visitors Center.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The mission of Heritage Guild of Collin County is to celebrate community, preserve history and inspire the future.

                     HGCC was organized more than 40 years ago.

                     HGCC supports Chestnut Square Historic Village - a museum and tourist destination in McKinney offering diverse programs and activities throughout the year.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Funds allocated for FY22 for discretionary Project Grants is $1,749,025, and $681,520.09 remain.

 

                     The request is eligible for MCDC consideration under Section 501.152 and 505.1512 of the Texas Local Government Code,
