ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Grant funds will be used to purchase the PulsePoint Application program to be implemented through the City of McKinney in conjunction with the 9-1-1 operation system.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The PulsePoint application program will allow the dispatch center to immediately alert CPR-trained individuals about a nearby possible cardiac arrest through a free mobile app. The Pulse Point will send nearby citizens who have indicated they are trained in CPR and are willing to assist in case of an emergency to the location of the incident and the closest AEDs.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     The grant will consist of two parts totaling $20,500

o                     $10,000 for the implementation project including, CAD connection installation, configuration, testing, validation, AED registration, technical admin training, digital material, and project management of launch

o                     $10,500 for the Tier 1 annual subscription for a population size of 50K - 300K.

                     The fire department will be responsible for upholding the annual subscription fee of $10,500.
