ITEM SUMMARY:
• The McKinney Kiwanis is requesting an advertising and promotional grant in the amount of $5,000 for marketing, advertising and promoting the McKinney Kiwanis 2018 Triathlon.
• Last year, we had over 400 adults and 250 children participating in this event.
• With spectators and participants, we had over 1,000 people visiting McKinney.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Kiwanis Club is a service organization dedicated to serving the children of the world.
• Kiwanis has no paid employees and all profits from our fundraising events go back to local entities such as MEF for scholarships, wheel chair ramps to provide mobility to the needy, and local charities.
