· Contract will authorize the Collin County Elections Administrator to conduct the City Council General Election to be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013.
· This resolution also authorizes a Joint Election Agreement between the City of McKinney, the McKinney Independent School District, Frisco Independent School District, Allen Independent School District, and Collin College District to hold a Joint Election on May 11, 2013.
· The Joint Election Agreement will allow McKinney voters to be provided with a joint ballot that will include the City of McKinney, the McKinney Independent School District, Frisco Independent School District, Allen Independent School District, and Collin College District elections, as well as any special issues.
· The following services will be provided by the County: retention, training and compensation of election workers; election equipment, supplies and tabulation of election results; conduct joint early voting by mail and in person; and joint election day voting.
· The City will be responsible for the following: calling the May 11, 2013 Election; posting and publication of the election notices; official canvass of the election results; and submission to U.S. Department of Justice.
· The Joint Election Agreement will allow for shared costs associated with the holding of this election.
