RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a supplemental agreement with Othon, Inc. to provide additional professional engineering services for professional consulting engineering services for the design of traffic signals and associated intersection improvements for the intersection of Alma Road at Henneman Way and for the design of a pedestrian hybrid beacon at the proposed trail crossing of Alma Road north of Henneman Way for an increase in the not to exceed fee by $24,024 (from $65,290) for a total aggregate contract amount, inclusive of any additional supplemental agreements, not to exceed $110,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* A 17.85-acre multi-phase mixed (District 121) use development is proposed at the northeast intersection of Alma Road and State Highway 121. The development consists of office, retail, restaurant and hotel uses along with a park.
* A Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) was performed and it was recommended that additional improvements along Henneman Way (right turn lane and change in lanes configuration) are needed to provide the additional capacity and level of service for the intersection with the District 121 development.
