RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution awards a contract to Squeegee's, Proforma Promotions, KLAS Products, and Advanced Embroidery to provide uniform and recreational clothing to the City of McKinney on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The City of McKinney issued an invitation to bid (13-14FP) for uniform and recreational clothing, in March 2013.
· Bid opening of 13-14FP was held on April 4, 2013.
- Total of six (6) bids were received.
· Recommend awarding by section to the following as best value bids:

- Section I: T-shirts and Sporting Goods, Item No. 1 thru 24 - Squeegee's in Allen, TX
- Section I: T-shirts and Sporting Goods, Item No. 25 thru 27 and Section II: Work Shirts - Proforma Promotions in Allen, TX
- Section III: Work Pants and Work Shorts - No award recommended. Employees will continue to purchase pants/shorts with stipends.
- Section IV: Caps - KLAS Products in McKinney, TX
- Section V: Outer Wear - Advanced Embroidery in McKinney, TX
- Contract shall commence on date of award and continue for a three (3) year period.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· Funding is available in various amounts city-wide.
