ITEM SUMMARY:
· The McKinney Airport Development Corporation (MADC) is recommending changes to Chapter 30 (Aviation) to clarify provisions related to the Airport Area Land Lease Rate definition and references.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· Chapter 30 of the City Code is also known as Airport Minimum Standards and Rules and Regulations for McKinney National Airport.
· On June 17, 2014, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2014-06-041 which enacted revisions to the Airport Minimum Standards and Rules and Regulations.
· On August 4, 2014, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2014-08-054 which established variable land lease rates for all tracts at the McKinney National Airport.
· During a review of Chapter 30, the MADC identified the need to update the provisions related to the Airport Area Land Lease Rate definition and related references as a result of the establishment of variable land lease rates at the McKinney National Airport.
