RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
· The Police Department requests to add one (1) Chevrolet Police SUV Tahoe (1) PPV to the already approved list of vehicles for FY 2011-2012.
· The City has received a quote from Caldwell County Chevrolet via the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC), a Texas Cooperative Purchasing Organization.
· There will be an additional expense for the purchase of needed equipment and installation.
· Cost of one (1) 2013 SUV Chevrolet Tahoe PPV through HGAC is $27,308.
· Cost of equipment and installation from various vendors totals $16,000.
· Vehicle, equipment and installation of equipment shall not exceed $60,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· City management would like to furnish departments, when possible, any needed equipment that would be a one time capital purchase.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· Upon City Council approval, staff will make necessary budget transfers within existing appropriations.
