RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION: Approve termination Campaign Treasurer appointments for inactive campaigns.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• On March 7, 2006, the City Council approved Ordinance No. 2006-03-024 establishing procedures for terminating Campaign Treasurer Appointments for inactive candidates or political action committees.
• A letter was sent to the candidates and political committee on file, notifying them of the date and time of the meeting to terminate their inactive campaign treasurer appointment.
• Approval of this item will terminate the Treasurer Appointment for the following campaign:
o Citizens for a Better McKinney
• In accordance with the ordinance, the termination of this appointment will go into effect on the thirtieth (30th) day following this action, which is March 18, 2021.
