•                     Approve Resolution for application and acceptance of the 3rd year of the grant, if awarded

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

•                     Staff requests approval for application and acceptance of the 3rd year of a three year Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) grant to fund part-time staff to assist the Juvenile Case Manager in organizing and implementing a City-focused Community Service Program

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

•                     On May 5, 2009, Agenda Item 09-241, City Council approved the application for and acceptance of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention grant

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

•                     The grant is on a three-year funding cycle, based on the availability of funding, with decreased funding in years two and three

•                     Year three of the grant will pay 60% of the first year’s funding - $13,941

•                     No match is required
