RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends approval of the proposed resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Gray Branch is a 101-acre City-owned site abutting Wilson Creek, south of US 380 and east of Gray Branch Road.
• The overall goals and recommendations identified in this Plan are to lead and guide the City of McKinney in providing choices for future development of the Gray Branch Community Park site.
• The attached master plan goals include a vehicular bridge of Wilson Creek, park road, concession/restroom building, lake, indoor/outdoor recreation facility, active sports fields, pavilions, playgrounds, amphitheater, parking lots, and hike and bike trails.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On March 6, 2012, the Gray Branch Community Park Master Plan was presented to City Council at a work session for consideration and discussion.
• Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc. was awarded the design contract for the Gray Branch Master Plan project in June 2011.

• On February 9, 2012 the Gray Branch Master Plan was presented to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Board which forwarded a recommendation for plan approval to City Council.
