RECOMMENDED ACTION:
* Approve the recommendation to City Council.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Al Ruschhaupt Park Improvement project includes a new restroom facility with an attached plaza area and improved flat work with new landscaping.
o The restroom facility will be 1,200 sq in size with 4 sinks and 6 stalls each on the Men's and Women's side with a family restroom included.
o The restroom facility will also include a concession and storage area located on the North end of the facility.
o The facility will include a covered plaza with a stepped down terrace that will allow for movies in the park or team gatherings along with a patron viewing opportunity.
* City staff worked with Kimley - Horn and Associates, Inc. a landscape architecture firm, on preparing the construction plans and specifications as needed for project bidding.
* The project included a base bid and 1 add alternate:
o Alternate 1: Furnish and install wood decking in lieu of steel decking.
o Wood decking would be in lieu of steel decking based off a lead time of 30 weeks.
