RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Crescent Constructors, Inc. for the construction of the University Pump Station 10 MG Ground Storage Tank Project for a total contract amount not to exceed $7,100,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Birkhoff, Hendricks & Carter, LLP, prepared the construction plans for this project.
* Five bids were received for this project on October 2, 2014. The following is a summary of the bids:

Staff determined that in accordance with the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) 2004 Edition of the Public Works Construction Standards, General Provisions, Item 102.10, the irregularities were not critical to the project and could be waived.
