RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with PSI, Inc, for materials testing services for the reconstruction of West Street from Bonner Street to Erwin Street, for a contract amount not to exceed $45,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The City has previously issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for geotechnical and materials testing services and three qualified firms, including PSI, were selected from that process to provide professional services for various projects on a rotating basis.
· PSI has a branch office located in McKinney and has successfully performed in a similar capacity on numerous City projects.
· PSI has submitted a proposal for these services in the amount of $40,907.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· This Resolution authorizes a contract with PSI, Inc, for an amount not to exceed $45,000.
· Funds are available in the Capital Improvements Program in CO1229.
