ITEM SUMMARY:
• Amend the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget by appropriating $1,955,195.00 from the Public Safety Fund balance to the Capital Improvement Program for the Fire Station #11 Craig Ranch Project (Proj #FI1731); Purchase of a Tiller Truck Fire Apparatus.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Fire Station #11 is under construction in Craig Ranch and was designed to accommodate a tiller truck fire apparatus.
• Tiller truck fire apparatus are able to navigate narrow street widths more effectively than conventional aerial apparatus.
• Maneuverability increases safety while responding to alarms, returning from alarms, and positioning on the emergency scene.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Amend the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget by appropriating $1,955,195.00 from the Public Safety Fund balance to the Capital Improvement Program for the Fire Station #11 Craig Ranch Project (Proj #FI1731); Purchase of a Tiller Truck Fire Apparatus.
