RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract with Boyd Electric, Ltd. of Rockwall, Texas as the Primary Vendor and Environmental Lighting Service of Grand Prairie, Texas as the Secondary Vendor for Electrical Services on an as needed basis.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation for Bid 16-37FP for Electrical Services in December 2015.
• Three (3) bids were received on December 31, 2015.
• An Evaluation Team comprised of three City employees reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o Price
o Reputation of the bidder(s) and of bidders’ goods or services verified through references
o Extent to which the goods or services meet the City’s needs
o Response time
• The Evaluation Team recommends Boyd Electric, Ltd. (Primary) and Environmental Lighting Service (Secondary) as the best values for the City of McKinney.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a two (2) year period with three (3) one (1) year renewal options.

• Funding for these services is currently budgeted in the following account: 001-4117-433-8301
