RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends the City Council discuss a rezoning request (10-115Z) for the Adriatica development. This rezoning request will be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 9, 2010 and on November 16, 2010 by the City Council.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The applicant is requesting to rezone approximately 35.15 acres from “PD” - Planned Development District to “PD” - Planned Development District, generally to modify the development standards, located on the southeast corner of Virginia Parkway and Stonebridge Drive.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• A rezoning request (10-098Z) for the subject property was considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on October 12, 2010. The Commission voted 4-2-1 to recommend denial of the request. The applicant subsequently withdrew the proposed rezoning request.
• The applicant has since submitted a new, modified rezoning request (10-115Z). The submittal materials for this case are attached for the City Council’s review.
• Per the direction of the Mayor and Council Member Ussery, Staff has brought forth this item for Council discussion prior to it receiving a recommendation from Staff or the Planning and Zoning Commission.
