RECOMMENDED PARK BOARD ACTION:
• Consider and discuss Gray Branch Park.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Gray Branch park property consists of 250 acres of undeveloped parkland.
• There are two dilapidated houses on the property as well as a large barn structure that is not being used.
• A master plan (approved in 2012) is in place for a portion of the property (additional land was acquired subsequent to the master plan being finalized).
• This agenda item will allow for discussion on both short-term and long-term improvements to the property.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The original 150 acres was purchased in 2009.
• Approximately 46 acres north of Wilson Creek was purchased in 2013.
• Approximately 60 acres west of Gray Branch Road was purchased in 2016.
