ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Park and Recreation Department is reviewing the current Parkland Dedication Ordinance (Article VI Conveyance of Land for Recreational Areas and Facilities).
• The City has engaged the professional services of Dr. John Crompton, University Distinguished Professor of Recreation, Park & Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M, to assist with this process, to include the delivery of recommended modifications along with the development of supporting documentation/methodology.
• Dr. Crompton will provide an overview of the proposed process and summarize the significant elements of this project.
