RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes a professional services contract with Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc., to provide landscape, architectural and engineering services related to the design and construction of the Gabe Nesbitt tennis expansion project, additional park amenities and landscape enhancements located within the southern section of the park, in a contract amount of $549,300 and design budget not to exceed $604,230.
* Scope of services:
o Planning and Design Services $503,000
o Other Related Services $ 41,300
o Reimbursable Expenses $ 5,000
o Contingency $ 54,930
Total $604,230
* Seven firms submitted statements of qualifications and were evaluated by five City staff from the Engineering, MCDC and Parks and Recreation departments.
* From the seven firms that submitted, the evaluation team's top ranking firm was Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc. (SRA).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* SRA has worked on previous City projects. They designed the 2012 Gray Branch Master Plan and led the 2003 Parks Master Plan project.
* The Master Plan for Gabe Nesbitt Park which shows full build out potential of the park was approved by City Council on October 20th, 2015; the MCDC on September 24th; and the PROS Board on October 8th. This project is intended ...
