RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
· Approval of resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
· A Historic Underutilized Businesses (HUB) search was performed by the Purchasing Department for a Self-Propelled Scissor Lift.
· The three bids obtained for the Self-Propelled Scissor Lift include:
o Equipment Depot $20,249
o Volvo Construction Equipment $22,345
o CE-DFW $24,815
· The scissor lift will be utilized by the Building Operations Department for general maintenance repairs at all fire stations, public safety building, community centers, fleet maintenance building, Oak Hollow Golf Course, libraries, and City Hall Council Chambers.
· Over the last two years the rental costs over the last two years were:
o FY 2010-11 $4,478.74
o FY 2011-12 $5,857.90
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
· The majority of City facilities have higher than normal ceilings which makes access for maintenance repairs challenging and unsafe on ladders.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
· Upon City Council approval, staff will make necessary budget transfers within existing appropriations.
