RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* In order to ensure that as many interested parties as possible are aware of an update to the Land Use Assumptions, Staff is requesting that City Council pass a Resolution setting the date for a Public Hearing to consider approval of the Land Use Assumptions for the 2012-2013 Utility Impact Fee Update. In accordance with State Law, Staff will also post a 30 day legal notice announcing the Public Hearing date.
* The requested date for the Public Hearing is the June 18, 2013 City Council meeting.
* In addition, State Law states that the Planning and Zoning Commission (serving as the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee) is required to provide written comments about the Land Use Assumptions to the City Council prior to Council action on the Land Use Assumptions.
* The Land Use Assumptions were considered at the April 23, 2013 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and the minutes of that Public Hearing will serve as the written comments. The approved meeting minutes will be forwarded to the City Council at the May 7, 2013 meeting. However, a draft of the minutes is provided with this item for reference.
* As required by Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code, Staff has also posted a draft of the Land Use Assumptions Report on the City of McKinney website for public review and comment. To date, Staff has not received any comments.
