ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to formally reject all bids received and related to Bid Number 13-37CC for the construction of the Miscellaneous Utility Adjustments Project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* This project, designed by City of McKinney/Engineering Department, provides for miscellaneous utility adjustments for various water and sanitary sewer appurtenances throughout the City.
* The majority of the adjustments are related to the TxDOT roadway construction projects. Prior to the start of construction, existing water and sanitary sewer lines were relocated to allow for the roadway widening projects. These relocated water and sanitary sewer appurtenances (manhole lids, fire hydrants, etc.) matched existing grades. Due to grade changes with the new roadways, some of these appurtenances need to be raised or lowered to match the new grades.
* The City of McKinney issued an invitation to bid (13-37CC) in August, 2013.
* On September 12, 2013, 1 bid was received for this project. The following is a summary of the bid:
