RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:      
·      Approval of Resolution.
 
ITEM SUMMARY:  
·      This Resolution authorizes a contract with Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) to provide material testing services during the construction of the Aquatics and Fitness Center and PSA McKinney Facility, located in the northwest corner of Gabe Nesbitt Community Park, for an amount not to exceed $22,000.
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  
·      The City has previously issued a Request for Qualifications for geotechnical testing services.  Three qualified firms, including PSI, were selected from that RFQ to provide testing services for various projects on a rotating basis.  
·      PSI has a branch office located in McKinney and has successfully performed in a similar capacity on numerous City projects.
·      PSI has submitted a proposal for their professional services in the amount of $19,560.    
 
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:  
·      The Resolution authorizes a contract and any required supplementals with PSI for an amount not to exceed $22,000.  
·      Funds are available for this contract in the Capital Improvements PK7102.
