RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Approval of Resolution
ITEM SUMMARY:
• All Microsoft licensing products are available through this agreement from SHI Government Solutions, named reseller in agreement, through the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), Contract No. DIR-SDD-2503.
• Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, Interlocal Cooperation Contracts, authorizes cities to make purchases utilizing cooperative contracts such as the ones available through the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR).
• Due to our current enterprise license enrollment agreement with Microsoft expiring on October 31, 2015, the Interim City Manager has executed the agreement.
• Council has approved the renewal of the Enterprise License agreement during the budget process. This resolution acts as notification to Council that we are expending the FY16 approved funds for the renewal of the Enterprise License Enrollment Agreement.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The Enterprise Enrollment Agreement is renewed every three years. This agreement runs concurrently with our citywide computer refresh program.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Annual pricing for this three year Microsoft Enterprise agreement is $410,621.70.
• Funding has been approved in the FY16 Budget.
