ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the Interim City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with XIT Paving and Construction, Inc. for the construction of intersection improvements for Community Avenue and Wilmeth Road for a total contract amount not to exceed $460,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Freese & Nichols, Inc., prepared the construction plans for this project.
* One bid was received for this project on Thursday, April 7, 2016. The following is a summary of the bid:

* Even though one bid was received, staff and the consultant reviewed the bid and found it was a responsible bid.

* The contract documents require that this project be completed within 105 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed, which is expected in June 2016. Construction is expected to be substantially completed in August 2016 with final completion in September 2016.
