ITEM SUMMARY:
• The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is required to enter into a lease with the City for the installation and operation of certain Air Traffic Control equipment.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The FAA provides certain air traffic control recording and communications equipment to the City at no cost.
• FAA policy requires that the space in which the equipment is installed and operated in the City-owned Air Traffic Control Tower be leased at no cost to the FAA.
• This lease will allow for the operation of Air Traffic Control equipment necessary for Air Traffic Control at the Airport through September 30, 2026.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• No cost to the City of McKinney.
