ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is required to enter into a lease with the City for the installation and operation of certain Air Traffic Control equipment.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     The FAA provides certain air traffic control recording and communications equipment to the City at no cost.

                     FAA policy requires that the space in which the equipment is installed and operated in the City-owned Air Traffic Control Tower be leased at no cost to the FAA.

                     This lease will allow for the operation of Air Traffic Control equipment necessary for Air Traffic Control at the Airport through September 30, 2026.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     No cost to the City of McKinney.
