RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Ordinance.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* DR1646 is a proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project to perform a floodplain and erosion study of the unnamed tributary to Wilson Creek located east of Hardin Boulevard from north of U.S. 380 through Glenwood Estates to its confluence with Wilson Creek.
* This Ordinance amends the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Annual Budget and the 2016 - 2020 Capital Improvements Program to create a new project and provides the necessary approval to begin the project in the current fiscal year with a budget amount of $150,000.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* In the near future, new development is anticipated in the vicinity of Hardin Boulevard and U.S. 380. As this new development occurs, the downstream drainage system may see increased rates of erosion, regardless of whether or not this new development includes stormwater detention facilities.
* There are already known erosion issues through Glenwood Estates associated with this unnamed creek.
* This project will perform a drainage study to determine the extent of the erosion issues in Glenwood Estates and determine potential mitigation options.
* The recent sale of 2016 bonds provides funding for this project. However, a budget amendment is needed to begin this project in the current fiscal year.
