ITEM SUMMARY:
• The City of McKinney provides School Resource Officers (SRO) to the McKinney Independent School District (MISD).
• The Resolution is to amend the agreement to reflect the outcomes of the 2015-16 school year:
o One (1) additional SRO for a total of eleven (11) SRO’s and one (1) Sergeant
o Increasing the contract amount to $623,256.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On May 5, 2015, Council authorized the 2015-2016 agreement.
• The contract provided for ten (10) SRO’s and one (1) Sergeant.
• To ensure adequate coverage in all schools, MISD and the City agreed that one (1) additional SRO was needed.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• MISD will pay the amended contract amount of $623,256 for the 2015-16 School Resource Officer Program.
