RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Receive presentation and discuss issues related to the upgrade of audio / visual systems for the City Council Chambers.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• A presentation will be made by the previously approved A/V consultant of Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams, Inc. (WJHW) to provide a status update on the design of upgrades to the audio / visual systems including the various broadcasting systems utilized in the City Council Chambers.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• A contract was approved with Wrightson, Johnson, Haddon & Williams to provide typical and complete audio, visual and broadcasting design services for all City facilities, and initially for the renovation and upgrade of all such systems in the City Hall Council Chambers on April 19, 2016.
• This presentation will highlight A/V system improvements and provide an opportunity for the City Council to be informed on those upgrades; to discuss the operational details and provide additional direction, if needed.
• Architectural, mechanical and electrical drawings will be produced following the acceptance of the design for the A/V systems upgrades prior to the request for competitive sealed proposals for this work.
