• Approve Ordinance
ITEM SUMMARY:
• On September 20, 2016, the City Council amended the City of McKinney Policy on Board and Commission Member Appointment and Eligibility (“Policy”).
• This Ordinance will align the terms for members of the Animal Service Facility Advisory Committee with the current Policy by changing the term lengths from two years to one year.
• This Ordinance will remove the conflict between the term length set out in the Code of Ordinances and the current Policy.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On October 6, 2009, the City Council adopted Ordinance 2009-10-070, adopting a new Chapter 26 entitled “Animal Control” that included the creation of the Animal Service Facility Advisory Committee.
