ITEM SUMMARY:
* The City Council Chambers Audio / Visual Systems Upgrade Project requires funding for architectural, engineering and program management services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* On April 19, 2016, a professional services contract was authorized with the selected consultant team, WJHW, to provide audio visual design services for the renovation of the A/V systems in the City Council Chambers for an amount not to exceed $65,000.
* On September 28, 2016, Conduit Architecture + Design, LLC. submitted a proposal for $18,000 for architectural and electrical engineering services to accommodate the new A/V enhancements to the existing McKinney Council Chambers.
* With this approval, Aguirre Roden will be notified to begin project management services.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The budget for the project shall be amended by appropriating $47,000 from the PEG (public, educational and government) Channel Fund balance for the architectural, engineering and project management services.
* With approval of this budget amendment, the total budget for services for the A/V project upgrade (IT1601) will be $112,000.
o Not to exceed $65,000 for WJHW
o Not to exceed $20,000 for Conduit Architecture + Design, LLC
o Not to exceed $27,000 for Aguirre Roden
* This item only includes the professional services contracts for architecture, engineering and project management.
