ITEM SUMMARY:
- This Resolution:
- Establishes a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) of $7,120,903 as proposed by Pogue Construction Company, LP which includes $6,978,167 for the base project plus $142,736 for the paving alternative #2 option.
- Authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract amendment with Pogue Construction Company, LP, the Construction Manager at Risk for the McKinney Public Safety Support Building, located at 2750 Community Avenue, McKinney, TX 75071.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On March 15, 2016 a professional services contract was authorized for Pogue Construction Company, LP to provide Construction Manager at Risk services related to the preconstruction phase of McKinney Public Safety Support Building located at 2750 Community Avenue, McKinney, TX 75071.
• Pogue Construction Company, LP has compiled the bids and submitted a final Guaranteed Maximum Price for consideration and approval by the City Council.
• The original contract allowed for the GMP to be proposed after the completion of the design plans and bidding process.
• The construction documents were issued in September, 2016 and have been advertised for bids by Pogue Construction Company, LP.
• Upon approval, Pogue Construction Company, LP will be notified to begin construction with completion scheduled for November, 2017.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract amendment to the existing Construction Manager at Risk services contract for construction services and potential changes to that scope of services, with Pogue Construction Company, LP for an amount not to exceed $7,120,903.
• The McKinney Public Safety Support Building Project (FC2229) was funded within the FY16-17 Capital Improvements Program with general obligation bonds and funds are currently available for this contract.
