RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:

                     Approval of Resolution.

 

ITEM SUMMARY:

                     This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Terracon Consultants, Inc. to provide material testing services related to the construction of the McKinney Public Safety Support Building located at 2750 Community Avenue, McKinney, Texas, 75071 in the amount not to exceed $72,000.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     Terracon Consultants, Inc. is a large, nationwide consulting engineering and construction materials testing firm with an office in The Colony serving the northern DFW communities and has submitted a proposal with an estimate for their professional services in the amount of $65,460.00.

                     The balance of $6,540 is a contingency line item for this contract.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY:

                     The McKinney Public Safety Support Building, Project (FC2229) was funded within the Capital Improvements Program with general obligation bonds and funds are currently available for this contract.
