RECOMMENDED PROS BOARD ACTION:
• Recommend the rejection of the one bid received for the 12-27CC Gold Star Memorial Project (PK1644).
ITEM SUMMARY:
• Construction bids were opened for the Gold Star Memorial Project on December 29, 2016. A total of one bid was received.
• The one competitive sealed bid was received from Drive Construction GC, LLC in an amount of $202,509.
• Since only one bid was received and its price exceeded the $145,000 construction budget, it is recommended to reject the bid from Drive Construction and re-bid the project.
• This project is a tribute to the Gold Star Families, those who have lost loved ones in the armed forces. The memorial design includes a granite monument, lighting and flagpoles. The memorial will be placed within Veteran’s Memorial Park.
