RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* The Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute an amended professional services contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates in order to perform additional transportation modeling and land use planning associated with the US 380 bypass concept, specific tasks associated with the development of a fiscal model, and other associated services in support of the 10-Year Comprehensive Plan Update.
* The contract for the 10-Year Comprehensive Plan Update was first authorized by City Council in June 2015.
* Based on recent developments in regional growth projections and mobility planning, additional transportation modeling and land use plans are needed for the 10-Year Comprehensive Plan Update to evaluate and capture the potential implications of these regional initiatives into the ONE McKinney 2040 Comprehensive Plan.
* In addition, details related to the development of a fiscal model in support of the ONE McKinney 2040 Comprehensive Plan are also included in the amended professional services contract.
* To carry out these additional tasks, Staff has reached an agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates on a Modified Scope of Services.
