ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a fixed price contract for all items listed within bid to Global Building Maintenance of Dallas, Texas to provide City wide janitorial services.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued Invitation to Bid 17-24FP, Janitorial Services- City Wide in December 2016.
• Six (6) bids were received on January 12, 2017.
• An Evaluation Team, comprised of four City employees, reviewed and ranked the bids based on the following criteria:
o Price
o Reputation of the bidder and of bidder’s goods or services verified through reference checks
o Extent to which the goods or services meet the needs of the City
o Bidder’s past relationship with the City of McKinney
• The Evaluation Team recommends Global Building Maintenance as the best value for the City of McKinney.
• Contract will commence on date of award and continue for a one (1) year period with four (4) one (1) year renewal options.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Annual base cost for services which includes monthly, quarterly and bi-annual services totals $362,700. Upon request services are not included in this total.
• Funding for these services are budgeted in account: 001-4117-433-8516
