ITEM SUMMARY:
• This item authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement with McKinney SH I, LTD and Costco Wholesale Corporation (hereinafter referred to collectively as Costco/SH I) to relocate and abandon three easements including a drainage easement, a detention pond easement, and a sewer easement. The agreement will be similar to the attached proposed agreement.
• Costco/SH I is proposing to develop the property at the northeast corner of US 380 and Hardin Boulevard as shown on the attached site plan exhibit.
• The three existing easements in question conflict with the footprint of the proposed building. The easements and the proposed new easements are shown on the attached exhibits.
• Costco/SH I has requested an agreement that upon their installation of new (replacement) drainage and sewer infrastructure, McKinney will abandon the old easements. Costco/SH I will provide new easements for the replacement infrastructure.
• Staff has reviewed the construction drawings for the drainage and sanitary sewer relocations and does not anticipate any operational concerns.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• Costco and other commercial uses are proposed for the northeast corner of the US 380/Hardin Boulevard intersection.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• No adverse financial impact is expected due to the relocation.
