ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     Provide Rental Assistance for Temporary Housing.

                     The Hernandez Family has been approved for a one bedroom at Newsome Homes.

                     The City will do a Substantial Rehabilitation on Substandard Home.

                     Low Income Elderly Disabled Household with NO gas or running water.

                     Owner occupied home located East of Highway 5 in McKinney.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: 

                     Applied for Emergency Assistance for no water.

                     The home is too far gone to receive Emergency Repair Assistance.

                     Adult Protective Services and the Wellness Center for Older Adults are working with the family.

 

FINANCIAL SUMMARY: 

                     Monthly Rent is $730.

                     Requested Monthly Subsidy is $240. Total Maximum Rent Subsidy is $2880.

                     Storage up to $1200.

                     $8100 was earmarked in the 2017 budget for a TBD Project.
