RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes an increase to the original contract's not to exceed amount by $10,000. The accompanying Resolution to the original design contract with la terra studio, inc. included a not to exceed amount of $545,000. This Resolution will increase it to $555,000.
* The reason for this increase is for an associated contract in an amount of $27,275 for additional construction administration services with la terra studio, inc. that are needed for the construction phase of Bonnie Wenk 2.
* The funds used to cover this associated contract will be the $10,000 increase that is being requested with this agenda item as well as existing contingency money that is already within the project.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* City Council authorized a design contract for architectural and engineering related services with la terra studio, inc. for the design of Bonnie Wenk Phase II on August 14, 2014 in an amount not to exceed $545,000.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
* The Bonnie Wenk Park Phase II Project (PK3222) is a FY13-14 Capital Improvements Program funded by general obligation bonds, parkland dedication funds, donations, and a Collin County grant with a total project budget of $8,391,031.
