                     Approval of the Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     This item is to approve a resolution outlining a set of transportation priorities for consideration by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Regional Transportation Council (RTC) as they look to develop future projects in Collin County.

 

                     The priorities identified in the resolution are aimed at generating consensus amongst Collin County communities in support of implementation of the Mobility 2040 Plan. However, they also emphasize the transportation goals and objectives considered important within Collin County.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

                     The Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem and the City Manager have engaged in discussions with other Collin County communities to develop an outline of transportation priorities to send to TxDOT and RTC.  

 

                     The goal of these discussions is to generate consensus among the communities in Collin County.

 

                     The priorities are consistent with the goals and objectives of Mobility 2040.
