RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of Resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract and all necessary change orders with Mountain Cascade of Texas for the construction of WW3255 Aerial Wastewater Crossing Replacement Jeans Creek and WA4266 Club Lake Water Line Loop Projects for a total contract amount not to exceed $800,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* The WW3255 Aerial Wastewater Crossing Replacement Jeans Creek project involves the replacement of an existing sanitary sewer aerial crossing consisting of 135 LF of 8 inch PVC in an 18 inch steel carrier pipe, four concrete piers, and other related appurtenances. The existing aerial wastewater crossing required replacement due to the poor condition of the existing crossing.
* The WA4266 Club Lake Water Line Loop project involves the installation of 389 LF of 10 inch HDPE by directional bore, 273 LF of 10 inch HDPE by open cut, and other related appurtenances. This project will provide a second water source for the Villages of Eldorado 2 subdivision.
* RJN Group, Inc., prepared the construction plans for the WW3255 Aerial Wastewater Crossing Replacement Jeans Creek project.
* Teague, Nall & Perkins, prepared the construction plans for the WA4266 Club Lake Water Line Loop project.
* Three (3) bids were received for this project on May 25, 2017. Following is a summary of the bids:
