RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:                     

                     Approval of Resolution

 

ITEM SUMMARY: 

                     The National Trust for Historic Preservation offers grants to encourage preservation at the local level by providing seed money for preservation projects.

                     McKinney Main Street is requesting approval to apply for and accept, if granted, funds to help with a project in Historic Downtown McKinney.

                     Applications are due on July 7, 2017 and if granted will award up to $150,000 for a project.

                     Accepted applications will be considered through a public voting process that will be conducted in September and October.
