RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
• Staff recommends approval of this resolution.
ITEM SUMMARY:
• The memorandum of agreement between the DFW metropolitan planning area, TXDoT, and various public transportation operators continues cooperative efforts in mutual responsibilities relating to metropolitan transportation planning.
• The City of McKinney, as a direct recipient of Federal Transportation Administration funds, is now a signatory to the memorandum of agreement.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The previously signed memorandum of agreement was signed in 2016.
• On January 17, 2017 the City of McKinney issued its letter of intent to establish direct recipient status with the Federal Transportation Administration.
• On March 3, 2017 the Federal Transit Administration notified the City of our successful designation as a direct recipient.
