ITEM SUMMARY:
• This resolution authorizes the City Manager to request State Aviation funding from the Texas Department of Transportation for the proposed FBO Terminal and Parking Lot projects at McKinney National Airport.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• State matching funds are available for a one-time award of up to $500,000 toward the cost of design and constructing a General Aviation terminal building and up to $100,000 toward the cost of design and constructing a vehicle parking lot.
• A request does not obligate the City for its share until a grant is offered by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and is executed by the City.
• We anticipate that the funding for this project will be available and awarded in FY18.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• The below listed project costs are preliminary estimates provided by the contractor, Western LLC.
• Construction costs include construction administration, construction contingency and Grant overhead contingency estimates.
• The City’s matching share is included as part of the total project cost.
