ITEM SUMMARY:
• In April 2017, the City of McKinney was approved for a $401,858 grant for FY17 to provide transit service to the McKinney Urban Transit District.
• Service to the MUTD began in June 2017.
• Staff requested a grant extension to May 31, 2018, to allow the MUTD to fully utilize the FY17 grant funds.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• If extension was not requested and approved, the remaining FY17 TxDOT grant funds could not have been utilized by the MUTD.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• FY18 TxDOT grant allocation for MUTD will be $317,590.
