RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approval of the Ordinance
ITEM SUMMARY:
* This Ordinance amends expenditures in the FY 2017-2018 Annual CIP Budget and the 2018 - 2022 Capital Improvements Program to accept funds from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the amount of $37,992 and appropriating those funds into a new project TR1801 - Traffic Signalization of Custer Road (FM 2478) at Bloomdale / Prosper Trail.
* A new traffic signal was approved and will be constructed at the intersection of Custer Road (FM 2478) and Bloomdale Road / Prosper Trail.
* TxDOT will reimburse the City 100% for the cost to purchase the traffic signal equipment up to $37,992 for this new traffic signal.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* A concurrent Resolution authorizes the City Manager to enter into a Local Participation Advance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to furnish traffic signal equipment for the signalization of Custer Road (FM 2478) at Bloomdale / Prosper Trail related to the reconstruction of the intersection.
* That Agreement provides that TxDOT will reimburse the City for $37,992.
* This Ordinance amends the FY 2017-2018 annual budget to fund the upfront acquisition of the traffic signal equipment.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
