ITEM SUMMARY:
• This Resolution authorizes award of a construction contract with JMR Construction of McKinney, Texas for the Rehabilitation of 1104 Anthony Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
• Rehabilitation is for a Low Income Elderly Disabled Household Living in Substandard Conditions.
• Owner Occupied Home Located East of Highway 5.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• The City issued an Invitation to Bid (17-67CC) for the Rehabilitation of 1104 Anthony Street on September 10, 2017.
• Out of 764 supplier notifications, two (2) bids were received on September 28, 2017.
• The following is a summary of the bids:

• The bids were reviewed by the Affordable Housing Administrator to ensure all requirements met the needs and standards listed in the Invitation to Bid.
• JMR Construction of McKinney, Texas submitted the low bid in the amount of $124,465.00.
FINANCIAL SUMMARY:
• Funding is currently budgeted in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fund 017, account 017-1703-463-8516.
• This Resolution authorizes a contract and all necessary change orders with JMR Construction, for an amount not to exceed $136,911.50.
BOARD OR COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION:
• Community Grants Advisory Commission approved the FY 2016-2017 funding recommendation at the June 16, 2016 Meeting.
