ITEM SUMMARY:
• All of the required documentation for the recipient-to-recipient stock transfer has been completed and staff is transferring title and possession of buses from TAPS to MUTD
• DCTA will perform “re-branding” and required maintenance of buses before placing into service
• In order to maximize available grant funding, FTA funding will be used for any capital expenditures on the buses
• At this time, buses will be housed at DCTA
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
• On August 30, 2017, the MUTD Board recommended a Resolution to the City Council, for the approval of a recipient-to-recipient stock transfer of two buses from TAPS to the City of McKinney
• The City of McKinney City Council approved a Resolution authorizing the recipient-to-recipient stock transfer on September 19, 2017
• The Texoma Area Paratransit System (TAPS) Board approved a Resolution authorizing the recipient-to-recipient stock transfer on October 2, 2017
• The recipient-to-recipient stock transfer was approved by FTA on October 16, 2017
