RECOMMENDED CITY COUNCIL ACTION:
* Approve the resolution.

ITEM SUMMARY:
* This resolution authorizes a professional services contract with Schrickel, Rollins and Associates, Inc., to provide landscape architectural and engineering services related to the master plan of Gray Branch Park in an amount of $230,750 and not to exceed $280,000.

* Scope of Services:
o Basic Design $171,000
o Traffic Impact Analysis $ 42,500
o Hydrology $ 17,250
o Contingency $ 49,250
Total $280,000

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
* Gray Branch is a 212 acre community park located along Wilson Creek, south of US380 and along both sides of Gray Branch Road.

* The property was previously master planned in 2012, however since that time an additional 112 acres have been acquired.

* The original master plan included soccer, lacrosse and cricket fields, parking, indoor/outdoor recreation center, trails, restrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, sand volleyball, amphitheater and trails.

* The new master plan is anticipated to have many of the same amenities, but with the added property the layout and numbers of amenities provided could substantially change.

* Also included that was not part of the original plan is the possibility of a regional scale soccer complex, a maintenance area and a food truck concession area.
